1. What inspired you to write this Book?
My reason for writing this book was what I kept hearing from people at ball fields. I have three
boys so we are always at a ball field with some type of sport. In general conversations people usually
will “explain” how they never have any money to invest or any money left over at the end of the month etc. So
I wanted to help people to see some easy ways to save more of their hard earned money and documented some ideas I had and
some others that benefit people to save over $500 a month.
2. Give us an idea of the plot/subject without giving too much away. Quite simply, Saving Money. This is a book that helps people with money saving
strategies that will help them and others now and in the future.
3. What is the primary message you’d like your readers to take away from this
book? The overall message is about helping.
When we organize our own finances, we see what we have, pay off what we owe and build for our future and the future of others.
Sharing knowledge will help you grow and will definitely benefit others.
4. Who are your favorite authors and who influenced your writing? Some of my favorite authors that influenced me include: Zig Ziglar, Anthony Robbins,
Dr. Norman Vincent Peal, John Maxwell, Mark Victor Hansen, Andrew Carnegie, James Malinchak, Jeffrey Gitomer and Napoleon
Hill.
5. Can you offer a glimpse into your “real life” and share with us a bit about your personal life?
My personal life involves being a father and husband
to my wife and three boys, two dogs, two mice, a rabbit, iguana, savanna monitor lizard, and a chameleon. Sort of like what
I mention in my book about keeping up with a society on the go all the time. I like to have fun. I believe in the value of
education and helping others.
6. What has been one of your biggest struggles and/or successes (professional/personal) and what have you
learned from it? I would say one of my biggest struggles
is as my 6th grade teacher told me “you need to slow down”. I haven’t mastered this yet and sometimes
that gets me into a bind. Myself and our society really need to realize the value of “slowing down” a bit to see
the real things in life and in our lives. However this can have some advantages to getting things done.
7. What is the best advice you’ve ever received – do you follow it?
Slowing down ranks up there. But if
you slow down too much they may throw dirt over you. Another piece of advice is realizing the real values in life. Not the
material “values” but the value of your family and what/who they are.
8. What is your favorite literary quote? I have several, some I have thought of, others from great minds.
“If the goal is worth the reward, be prepared to take the steps necessary to get there.” Bob
Brumm
“Give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.” Chinese
proverb
“Worry
never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.”
Leo F. Buscaglia
9. What did you learn about yourself while writing this book that you may not have expected? I learned that I still have a lot to learn, I knew that. The
joy of giving and sharing the knowledge re-emerged as a great driving force to share with others.
10. What’s next for you – Anything else you’d like to offer? I try to always continue my education and help others. I continue
to build my speaking events to provide encouraging topics and subjects that will escalate people’s knowledge for growth
and a positive perspective on life.
